Fullancia, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company doing business as Find a Hypnotherapist ("Find a Hypnotherapist," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through findahypnotherapist.io and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to the consumer directory and practitioner profiles on findahypnotherapist.io. It does not apply to the separate practice management platform, which has its own privacy policy.
1. Who This Policy Covers
The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. This policy covers three kinds of users:
Prospective clients (consumers) who browse the directory, submit consultation or contact forms, or subscribe to our emails. Prospective clients do not create accounts.
Practitioners who claim, manage, or subscribe to a profile at any tier (Free or Preferred). Practitioners do create accounts.
Visitors who browse the site without submitting a form.
2. Information We Collect from Prospective Clients
When you submit a consultation or contact form, or sign up for our emails, you may give us information such as your name, email address, phone number, city and state, reason for seeking hypnotherapy, preferred consultation times, and any message you choose to include. We only use the information you voluntarily submit. We do not ask prospective clients for a mailing address.
3. Information We Collect from Practitioners
When you claim a listing, create an account, or subscribe to a paid tier, you may give us information such as your name, professional title, practice name, email address, phone number, business mailing address, practice website, license and certification details, specialties, biography, profile photo, calendar availability, payment information (processed by our payment processor and not stored in full by us), and any other content you submit through your profile or account.
Calendar integrations. If you connect a Google or Microsoft calendar, you authorize us to access your calendar through that provider's OAuth service. We access your free/busy status and event times so we can show accurate availability to prospective clients, and we create calendar events when a consultation is booked. We store the account email address associated with your calendar connection and encrypted access and refresh tokens issued by the provider. We do not read the titles, descriptions, attendees, or other details of your existing calendar events. You can disconnect a calendar at any time from your account settings, which revokes our access and deletes the stored tokens.
4. Information We Collect Automatically
When you visit the Service, we automatically collect information such as IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent, and approximate location inferred from your IP address. We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for this.
5. Information from Public Sources (Practitioners Only)
To build the directory, we collect practitioner information from publicly available sources, including business websites, professional association listings, public business registrations, and similar public records. Practitioners can claim and correct their profile at any time.
6. Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from analytics providers, our payment processor, our email and SMS delivery providers, our customer relationship and marketing-automation vendor, advertising platforms, calendar providers (Google and Microsoft) when a practitioner connects a calendar, and practitioners who refer people to the directory.
7. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: (a) operate, maintain, and improve the Service, (b) create and verify practitioner profiles and process claim requests, (c) route consultation and contact form submissions to practitioners, (d) send transactional messages such as verification codes, password resets, consultation confirmations, appointment notifications, and billing notices, (e) send marketing emails and text messages where you have consented, (f) show prospective clients alternative practitioners who are actively accepting consultations, (g) provide analytics to practitioners about their profile performance, (h) personalize content, (i) detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity, (j) enforce our Terms of Service, and (k) comply with legal obligations.
8. When We Share Information
We share information only as described in this policy.
With practitioners. When you submit a consultation or contact form, we share your name, contact details, and message with the practitioner you selected. For unclaimed profiles, we send a brief notification to the practice email on file letting the practitioner know that a prospective client is trying to reach them, without including the prospective client's name, email, or phone number, and we invite the practitioner to claim the listing to see the details. Practitioners are responsible for their own privacy practices once they receive your information.
With service providers. We use vendors to run the Service, including web hosting, transactional email, SMS delivery, customer relationship and marketing automation, analytics, payment processing, calendar integration providers (Google and Microsoft), and customer support. These providers only get the information they need to perform their work and must protect it.
With prospective clients, on the directory. Claimed practitioner profile information is public by design. If you are a practitioner, the content you put on your profile is visible to anyone.
For legal reasons. We can share information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fullancia, LLC, our users, or the public, or to investigate and address suspected fraud or misuse.
In a business transaction. If Fullancia, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the confidentiality obligations of this policy.
With your consent. We will share information for other purposes when you tell us to.
We do not sell your personal information.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use first and third party cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to keep practitioners logged in, remember preferences, measure traffic, and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser. Disabling cookies may break some features of the Service.
10. SMS and Email Choices
You can opt out of marketing text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing help@findahypnotherapist.io. You can get help by replying HELP. Standard message and data rates may apply.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send transactional messages, such as verification codes, consultation confirmations, password resets, and billing notices.
11. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as a practitioner's account is active, as long as the information is needed to provide the Service, and as long as we are required to keep it by law. For prospective clients, we keep consultation and contact form submissions as long as needed to route them, to operate our nurture program (until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data), and to comply with legal obligations. We keep scraped directory data until a practitioner claims and edits their profile, or asks us to remove it. We can retain anonymized or aggregated data without time limit.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, limited employee access on a need-to-know basis, and secure storage with reputable cloud providers. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to us.
13. Age Restriction
The Service is only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service or submit any information. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 18, please contact us at privacy@findahypnotherapist.io and we will delete it.
14. Users Outside the United States
The Service is operated in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, you understand that your information will be processed and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.
15. Consumer Health Data
Some of the information we collect may qualify as "consumer health data" under laws like the Washington My Health My Data Act, the Nevada Consumer Health Data Privacy Law, and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act. This can include the fact that a person is searching for a hypnotherapist, the topics or conditions they reference in consultation forms, and related inferences. We collect consumer health data only to operate the Service and route consultation requests to practitioners you select. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. We obtain your consent before collecting or processing sensitive information in the ways that these laws require. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting privacy@findahypnotherapist.io or help@findahypnotherapist.io.
16. Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA)
If you are a Maryland resident, you have the following rights under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (effective October 1, 2025):
The right to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access a copy of that data.
The right to correct inaccuracies in your personal data.
The right to delete personal data we hold about you.
The right to obtain a portable copy of your personal data in a readily usable format.
The right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data and we do not currently conduct targeted advertising or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.
The right to opt in before we process "sensitive data," which includes data revealing health, mental or physical condition, precise geolocation, and related categories. Because searching for a hypnotherapist can reveal a mental or physical health condition, we treat that information as sensitive and we will ask for your consent before processing it in ways that require opt-in consent under the Act.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@findahypnotherapist.io or use the form at findahypnotherapist.io/privacy-request. We will acknowledge your request within a reasonable time and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you and extend by up to an additional 45 days. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email; we will respond to appeals within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may file a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General at oag.state.md.us.
17. Other State Privacy Rights
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, or Rhode Island, you may have privacy rights similar to those described in Section 16, including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and port your personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising, and the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information, we do not engage in "sharing" as that term is used under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a limit-use request.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@findahypnotherapist.io or use the form at findahypnotherapist.io/privacy-request. We will verify your identity using information you already provide us; we will not ask for more than we need. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with written permission. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
18. How to Submit a Privacy Request
You can submit any request described above by emailing privacy@findahypnotherapist.io, emailing info@findahypnotherapist.io, or using our privacy request form at findahypnotherapist.io/privacy-request. If you are a practitioner, you can also edit most profile information directly in your account.
We will use the information you provide to verify your identity. We may need to retain certain information to meet our legal, contractual, security, or fraud-prevention obligations, and we will tell you when we do.
19. Data Security Incidents
If we confirm a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Maryland's personal information protection law (Md. Code Com. Law § 14-3501 et seq.) and any other applicable state or federal law. Notices will describe, to the extent known, what happened, what information was involved, what we are doing, and what you can do.
20. Do Not Track and Universal Opt-Out Signals
Our Service does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We honor recognized universal opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising, where required by law.
21. Third Party Links
The Service contains links to third party sites, including practitioner websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party, and we recommend you review each site's privacy policy.
22. Accessibility
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. If you need this policy in an alternative format, contact help@findahypnotherapist.io.
23. Changes to This Policy
We can update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in the Service. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
