About Shelley

I have advanced training in clinicalhypnotherapy, Brainspotting, and tapping which can be powerful interventions particularly for resolving trauma.I love working with clients who are facing divorce, custody, or other family law issues. As a family lawyer turned therapist, I bring a keen understanding of the legal system to my clinical work with individuals & couples. However, not all of my clients are getting divorced! I also enjoy working with couples who wish to improve their relationships as well as individuals seeking to grow. Many of my clients are lawyers or other professionals who value my ability to analyze issues strategically and understand the challenges of a demanding profession. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, & multicultural counseling traditions, I collaborate with clients to explore their concerns, set goals, & develop a plan for moving forward. My warm, empathic presence combined with my solution-focused approach allows me to provide non-judgmental support as clients tackle life's challenges.
