My vast employment area includes working directly with patients in a major hospital in Green Bay Wisconsin ,Maintaining, and designing electronic equipment for paraplegic, and quadroplegic patients. Up until the recent flu outbrake I have been working directly with patients in the cancer center of the same hospital in which I was previously employed for 25 years. I enjoy helping people and see many areas within the healthcare system where hypnosis can be a direct benefit to their recovery and comfort. Client Services While working as a volunteer in the Cancer Center, there have been a few occasions where I was called upon to help technical staff in radiation oncology. A typycal problem would be that a patient to too frightened to receive radiation, or Chemo therapies. For whatever reason, and their are many the particular patient could not take an opioid to help them. I would be called upon to non chemically relax them and allow the patient to receive said therapy without the side effects of chemical intervention. I am also a member of an ostomy support group which works directly with patients and physicians within this organization. My service hours are also present in my work with our local amateur radio group in which we train with Brown county Emergency Government as a support group. Amateur, or Ham radio has been a valued service in many national disasters throughout the world and continues in providing emergency communications wherever and whenever necessary. Service Area Presently I am in contact with our hospital psychologist, several physicians, and nursing staff who are some of my greatest advocates to move forward into this profession. I am still workihng directly with patients and believe that I will continue to do so in the future.
