Life is both an incredible adventure and so unbearably hard that we are not sure what way to turn next. Sometimes people, even people who love us , make it so much more difficult. Sometimes we seem to be making choices that make things worse when all we are doing is trying to feel better or be true to ourselves. There can be moments when we just need someone to listen, really listen. Listening and then helping others to figure out what is best for them is why I love being a counselor.
