About Michael A.

I have worked in the behavioral sciences as a clinician and educator since 2007, working in private practice and in community counseling as a Certified Hypnotherapist and Depth Psychotherapist (MFT). I have taught at HMI College of Hypnotherapy as a senior-staff instructor and developed the first ever Ericksonian Hypnosis Certification Course for the American Hypnosis Association.Currently, I am providing hypnotherapy and NLP coaching sessions for adult individuals in private practice on Zoom and in-office in West Hollywood, California. I also provide consultations for hypnotherapy students and educational content on parapsychology, archetypal psychology, and hypnosis.As a Depth Psychologist, my practice of hypnotherapy uniquely considers the unconscious to be what psychiatrist C.G. Jung called the “primary matrix” – the vital source of consciousness itself and a reservoir of personal and transpersonal resources. Hypnotherapy is a powerful method to tap this potential for creative problem-solving.Losing connection to the unconscious psyche, the Greek word for “Soul,” is the cause of many afflictions in the contemporary world. This connection may be blocked by limiting beliefs, habits, and emotions. Hypnotherapy is a reliable and gentle method for removing these subconscious blocks and activating the natural healing and transformative processes of the unconscious.My method of using hypnotherapy from the perspectives of depth and transpersonal psychology, while utilizing NLP and neural-entrainment technologies, is a synergistic tool for promoting mind-body wellness, behavioral change, and personal development.
